Your next event horse, found with evidence rather than instinct.
We identify every horse in the world that fits your goal, then rank the shortlist on performance, potential and price. The search is led by Olympic rider Sam Watson and the EquiRatings analytics team.
Selling a horse? We match horses to buyers confidentially.
“I have two key goals for our clients: to maximise their chance of success, and to minimise their chance of regret.”
Maximise your chance of success
We identify the best-performing horses in the sport for your specific target, whether that is a championship team place, a first CCI5* or a young rider pathway.
Minimise your chance of regret
You see the whole market, not the horses that happen to be on the grapevine. That transparency is how you find value and make sure no top prospect is missed.
Not sure which goal to aim for? A 30-minute call is the quickest way to find out what the data says about your options.
Book a callEvery decision comes down to performance, potential and price.
Most buyers only ever get one of the three with any confidence. We give you all of them, on every horse, side by side.
Performance
Proven, objective results on 8,000+ active horses, built on 15 years of analysis and 40,000+ horses evaluated. You see exactly how each one scores against what it takes to win at your level.
Potential
Five-star riders review video on every shortlisted horse, so what looks right on paper is confirmed by an expert eye before you spend a day travelling to see it.
Price
We call every rider to establish whether the horse could be bought and for how much, including horses that were never advertised. That is what lets you judge the factor that matters most: value.
See the three factors on a real shortlist. We will run a sample search for your target level on the call.
Book a callIt starts with what it takes to win.
Finding the right horse depends entirely on what you are trying to achieve. We take you through the search in four stages, and you have access to the list as it develops.
Understand the goal
Winning an Olympics needs a different profile to winning a CCI5*. We agree your target and show you the scoring profile that achieves it.
The search
We identify every horse globally that matches that profile. The first list is long by design: nothing slips through the net.
The draft
Video review and a call to every rider distil the long list to the top 1%. We work through it with you and you see the list as it builds.
Viewing and purchase
We introduce you to the riders and advise on availability. You arrange your own vetting and complete the purchase directly.
Why the target changes the horse
The influence of each phase shifts with the level and format. The Olympic format, with two show jumping rounds and a shorter cross-country, is one of the few places where show jumping decides the most. At CCI2*-L, dressage carries nearly half the result. The horse that wins one is not the horse that wins the other.
From 8,000 horses to one: a database search in late 2024, a World Championships in 2026.
Samantha Lissington ran a Horse Search Complete for an LA 2028 prospect: born 2015 or 2016, already competed at CCI3*, with dressage and jumping benchmarks set for her goal. The search cut 8,000+ horses to 124 candidates. One of them was standing in a snow-covered yard in Finland. Eighteen months later, Lucas Stone trotted up for New Zealand at the FEI World Championships in Aachen.

Filter criteria included a 6RA dressage rating of 38 or better and 60%+ show jumping and cross-country scores for the age category. Results before Aachen: a CCI4* win at Strzegom and top-ten finishes at Luhmühlen, Blenheim and Bicton.

Sell your horse confidentially to buyers who are already looking.
Every search we run ends with a call to riders about horses that were never advertised. Thousands of those calls give us an up-to-date understanding of what horses are really making, and a long list of serious buyers waiting to be matched with the right one.
- Discreet by default. Your horse is never listed publicly. We speak only to qualified buyers whose goal and budget fit, and only with your say-so.
- Priced on evidence. We know what comparable horses have made because we have asked. You get a realistic view of value before anyone is contacted.
- Matched, not marketed. Our buyers come to us with a scoring profile. If your horse fits one, the introduction is direct and the conversation is already serious.
In the last 12 months we have sourced horses across more than 15 countries, from young horses at the start of the journey through to those who went to Aachen for the World Championships.
